The International School of Curitiba (ISC) seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our Early Childhood Center. The ideal candidate will design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate physical activities that promote motor skills, teamwork, and a love for movement among young children. This position requires a passion for early childhood education, creativity, and the ability to inspire children to lead active, healthy lives.

  • Integrate play-based and exploratory learning techniques to encourage participation and enjoyment.
  • Align physical activities with the center's developmental goals and early childhood education standards.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for children to explore movement.
  • Establish routines and rules to ensure safety and positive behavior during activities.
  • Observe and assess children's motor skills and physical development.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers to align physical activities with broader educational themes and objectives.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their children’s progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain and organize PE equipment and materials, ensuring safety and functionality.
  • Stay updated on best practices in early childhood physical education and implement innovative methods in teaching.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to coordinate activities and ensure a cohesive educational experience.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Foster an inclusive classroom that respects and celebrates cultural diversity.

  • Bachelor's degree (licenciatura) in Physical Education.
  • Active CREF Registration.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Experience teaching PE in an international school setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Passion for physical activity and a commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Proficiency in sports coaching and officiating.
    • Knowledge of first aid and CPR.
