- Design and facilitate open-ended, inquiry-based experiences in music and drama that emerge from children's interests and curiosities.
- Use music, movement, storytelling, and dramatic play as “languages” for children to express thinking and emotions.
- Observe, listen, and document children’s learning processes, making thinking visible through pedagogical documentation.
- Collaborate closely with ECC teachers to co-construct projects and integrate the arts into transdisciplinary learning.
- Create a rich, inviting environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and collaboration.
- Support children in developing a sense of rhythm, expression, voice, and body awareness in a natural and meaningful way.
- Encourage group experiences that foster relationships, communication, and social development.
- Participate in reflective practices with the teaching team, contributing to ongoing curriculum development.
- Engage families by sharing learning processes and involving them in the school community when appropriate.
- Create and lead exhibitions, and performances as authentic extensions of children's learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Music, Drama, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification/license (Licenciatura).
- A master’s degree is preferred.
- Advanced English proficiency for communication in an international school environment.
- Ability to play one or more musical instruments and/or direct theatrical productions.
- Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia philosophy or a strong interest in inquiry-based, child-centered approaches.
- Experience demonstrating strong classroom management and communication skills in English.
- Experience working with diverse, multicultural student populations.
- Familiarity with inquiry-based, project-based, or international curricula.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning and innovation in education.
