Temporary High School English Teacher (Maternity Leave Coverage)

The International School of Curitiba (ISC) is seeking a qualified and passionate High School English Teacher to provide maternity leave coverage. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, student-centered English Language Arts instruction aligned with the school's curriculum and educational philosophy, while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English Language instruction for high school students.
  • Design and implement lessons that promote critical thinking, communication, reading, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and attendance.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, counselors, learning support staff, and administrators to support student success.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel regarding academic progress and student well-being.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and school events as required.
  • Uphold and promote the mission, values, and policies of the International School of Curitiba.

  • Bachelor's degree in English/Language or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification/license.
  • Experience teaching English Language at the secondary or high school level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in an international school setting.
  • Experience teaching standards-based curricula and diverse student populations.
  • Familiarity with differentiated instruction and inclusive educational practices.
