This role involves teaching high school social sciences courses—including subjects such as History, Geography, Economics, or Global Politics. - Foster a collaborative and inquiry-based learning environment.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning.
- Develop and implement curriculum aligned with ISC's standards and IB philosophy.
- Support students in developing research, analysis, and communication skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages participation and respects individuality.
- Establish clear expectations for student behavior and maintain a structured and supportive learning environment.
- Support the school community by contributing to extracurricular activities, school events, and projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the High School Principal.
- Bachelor’s degree (Licenciatura) in Sociology, History or Geography; or a related field (required).
- Valid teaching certification/license (licenciatura).
- Master's degree preferred.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written) is mandatory.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and the IB philosophy.
- Passion for fostering critical thinking and global perspectives.
