  • Full responsibility for the safe and compliant technical operation of assigned vessels, ensuring adherence to company procedures, the ISM Code, class, flag state, and statutory requirements
  • Providing first-line technical support to vessels, including reception, triage, and timely resolution of technical issues
  • Acting as a key technical interface towards Masters, Chief Engineers, shipyards, suppliers, class, and authoritie
  • Ensuring vessels operate in accordance with the Planned Maintenance System, including survey schedules and dry-docking planning
  • Planning and executing technical maintenance activities and coordinating repairs and dry-docking jobs
  • Maintaining an overall view of vessel technical performance, identifying deficiencies, root causes, and preventive actions
  • Driving continuous technical improvement through benchmarking, best-practice sharing, and performance follow-up
  • Coaching and supporting Masters and Chief Engineers to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency
  • Carrying out technical vessel inspections and supporting appraisal and promotion processes for senior engineers
  • Collaborating closely with Operations, Crewing, Commercial, and Finance to support contract execution and vessel readiness
  • Supporting cost control initiatives and contributing to planning and budgeting in close cooperation with Operations Managers
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English and Portuguese
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/electronic engineering, EFOMM or related areas
  • Experience as Chief Engineer will be considered a plus
  • Solid experience in technical vessel management, preferably within Offshore / Oil & Gas
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, class and flag requirements, and dry-docking
  • Ability to manage complex technical operations involving multiple stakeholders
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of cost drivers and budget control
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with crews and colleagues
  • Willingness to travel and work in a role that requires flexibility and availability
  • Previous experience coaching or developing offshore management is an advantage
