The Operations Manager position will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of the assigned contracts and for the daily operation of the vessels under their management, acting as the main point of contact between the vessels, clients, and the organization. The role is part of an operational on-call rotation and provides support to operations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which may include activities outside regular business hours, as well as travel to operational locations, as required by the operation.

  • Full responsibility for the safe and compliant operation of the vessels, ensuring adherence to company procedures, the ISM Code, and applicable regulations
  • Act as the main point of contact for Masters, Chief Engineers, clients, authorities, and internal stakeholders
  • Accountability for contractual performance, including P&L management, Daily Running Cost (DRC) control, and cost optimization in close cooperation with the Technical Managers
  • Ensure the successful execution of contracts, with a deep understanding of contractual terms and proactive management of operational risks
  • Lead client relationships to ensure excellence in service delivery and the prompt handling of operational or service-related deviations
  • Support billing accuracy, invoice issuance, accruals, and timely collection of payments
  • Provide operational support for proposals, cost calculations, and contract negotiations
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, performance, data quality, and cost control
  • Support and develop offshore management to improve vessel performance, safety, and efficiency
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English and Portuguese
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, EFOMM, or related fields
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas industry, with solid experience in vessel operations or maritime environments
  • Strong understanding of contract execution, P&L management, and cost control
  • Proven ability to manage complex operations involving multiple offshore and onshore stakeholders
  • Safety-oriented mindset, with solid knowledge of compliance, risk management, and applicable regulations
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with crews, clients, and colleagues through clear and constructive communication
  • Fluency in spoken and written Portuguese and English
  • Availability to travel and flexibility to work in a dynamic role
