We are looking for a Legal Coordinator with 4-8 years of professional experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be pragmatic, proactive and business-minded, with strong analytical skills and the ability to provide clear, practical and solution-oriented legal advice. Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills are highly desirable, as is the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, interact with different internal areas, and operate effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced corporate environment.

As a Legal Coordinator, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with the company’s core business areas, particularly in matters involving vessel charter agreements and related commercial contracts, while also providing legal support to other departments across a broad range of corporate, contractual, regulatory and day-to-day legal matters.
In addition, this position will be responsible for:
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating vessel charter agreements, service agreements, supply contracts and other legal instruments related to the company’s maritime operations;
  • Providing legal advice to business teams, supporting internal stakeholders in the assessment and mitigation of legal risks, assisting with corporate, regulatory and compliance matters, managing external counsel when necessary; and
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of internal legal processes, templates and policies.

For this role, is necessary to:
  • Law degree;
  • Admission to the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB);
  • Excellent level in verbal and written English;
  • Between 4 and 8 years of relevant professional experience in major law firms and/or as internal counsel to companies;
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills;
  • Solid knowledge of Brazilian civil and corporate law;
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be considered an advantage and may help you succeed in this role:
  • Previous exposure to maritime law (support services, shipping, infrastructure, energy, oil and gas), complex commercial contracts and/or corporate law;
  • Fluency in other foreign languages;
  • Master of Laws or other post-graduation degrees;]
