Deck Officer

The Deck Officer reports to the Captain (or Chief
Officer when designated) and also acts as a Dynamic Positioning Operator. They
have the general responsibility (not limited to) for safe navigation,
maintaining the vessel's position with the DP system, and the
operation/maintenance of safety and rescue equipment, in accordance with the
Captain's directives, maritime regulations, and the Company's Management
System. They supervise maneuvers, maritime traffic, and communications,
ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

You will conduct the vessel’s navigation;
Supervise deck operations;
Ensure safety and compliance with maritime
regulations;
Monitor navigation equipment and vessel stability;
Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, safety
and lifesaving procedures;
Participate in emergency drills and training;
Maintain ship records and operational
documentation;
Supervise maneuvers, maritime traffic, and
communications, ensuring operational efficiency and safety;
Operate the Dynamic Positioning (DP) system;
Maintain the vessel stable and in the correct
offshore position;
In your daily work, you will ensure safety during
operations near platforms and offshore equipment.
To succeed in this role, we expect you to:
- Experience in the role aboard Dynamic Positioning vessels;
- Availability for offshore assignments;
- Commitment to safety and quality in the workplace;
- Valid STCW certificates;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
- Advanced English;
- Certificate of Competence issued by the Brazilian Maritime Authority – STCW II/1 or higher;
- Basic and Advanced Safety Courses issued by the Brazilian Maritime Authority;
- Special Basic Course in Ship Security Awareness;
- Unlimited DP (Full DP) – in some specific cases, the Advanced Course may be considered;
- Registration and Record Booklet (CIR);
- Yellow Fever Vaccination.
- Experience in Anchor Handling operations;
- Skills in Cutting and Welding.
